Complete Family Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a specialized branch of physical medicine. Chiropractors are experts in treating the spine and other joints and muscles of the body. Chiropractic adjustments help relieve pain and restore normal functioning to the joints. Exercise programs are usually prescribed to help restore strength. Chiropractors treat patients of all ages for a wide variety of conditions and do not require a referral from your medical doctor.

Chiropractors are regulated health professionals that complete a minimum of three years of university education, followed by four years at an accredited chiropractic college. They are well trained to determine if your problem will respond to chiropractic care or if you require a referral to another health care provider.

Chiropractors treat a variety of conditions including:

  • Lower back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Upper back pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Headaches
  • Sciatica
  • Arthritis
  • Rotator Cuff syndrome
  • Carpel Tunnel
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Pregnancy

Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely fine needles into the skin at specific "acupoints." This may relieve pain by releasing endorphins, the body's natural pain-killing chemicals, and by affecting the part of the brain that governs serotonin, a brain chemical involved with mood. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Traditional Chinese acupuncture is based on the belief that it can restore the flow of Qi, the bodies energy flow, whilst medical acupuncture, or sometimes referred to as western medical acupuncture, uses anatomy and physiology and is based very much on relieving pain and muscle tensions.

Therapeutic Laser Therapy

Therapeutic Laser Therapy is a safe, effective and painless therapy that accelerates tissue healing by reducing inflammation and swelling, increasing circulation and promoting cell regeneration.

Laser is a light based thrapy that uses red and infrared light to target inflamed and injured tissue. Photons of light stimulate energy production within the cell that accelerates the healing process.

Research indicates that therapeutic laser is very effective in treating injuries to joints, muscles and nerves.

Custom Foot Orthotics

Feet are the body’s foundation and have a direct impact on the rest of the body. When a problem develops in the feet, it can cause a subtle change in the walking process and produce a chain reaction of adjustments in posture and walking mechanics. These changes can put stress on knees, hips and back and may lead to other health problems such as sciatica, arthritis, neck pain and headaches.

Orthotics are custom shoe inserts designed to align the foot and ankle and optimize the body’s mechanics. Orthotics help rebalance the feet to reduce pain and discomfort and enhance the body's natural movements.

Some of the common foot problems that may be treated with custom orthotics are:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Heel pain
  • Heel spurs
  • Bunions
  • Metatarsalgia
  • Achilles tendinitis
  • Flat feet
  • Ankle sprain

Most insurance plans reimburse for custom orthotics. To be certain of your coverage, it is recommended that you check your specific plan.
